A hot press machine is the heart of your business. Just like any other machine, a heat press machine requires maintenance to run effectively.
This passage is going to talk about the following introductions of maintaining the press machine:
1) What is a press machine?
2) How to maintain the press machine?
3) Choose our best press machines
1) What is a press machine?
The press machine, also known as forming presses, are tools used in manufacturing to deform workpieces under high pressure. There are different types of machine presses, including bending machines, punch presses, shop presses, etc. However, the main characteristic of all machine presses is that they use high pressure to squeeze the workpiece in order to change its shape. After learning about the press machine, let's learn how to maintain it!
2) How to maintain the press machine?
1. Dust
Keep the working area of the press machine clean and dust-free. Dust can be harmful, especially for electrical components. Clean the electrical components of the press machine regularly with a dust collector.
2. Lubrication
Lubricate all wear points of the press machine (piston and piston rod) with high temperature lithium grease. If too much grease is added, wipe off the excess. Failure to lubricate the machine regularly will cause the pivot joints to dry out and suffer from friction and wear. We recommend doing this more than once a year.
3. Keep the upper platen clean
A well-functioning press machine platen is a clean platen! Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the platen with iron cleaner, alcohol and petroleum solvent. Be sure to power off the computer before you begin cleaning. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use a rough object to scrub residue from the upper platen. This can damage the Teflon coating.
4. Cord
Use the press machine power cord that came with your heat press. Other power cords may be suitable, but will not hold the necessary voltage. To avoid fire and other safety problems, do not place the cord on or near a hot surface.
5. Protecting the lower platen
To protect the silicone pad on the lower press machine pressure plate, use PTFE. Teflon has sheets, covers or pillows. Teflon sheets can be placed on top of clothing to prevent them from sticking to the upper platen. Teflon covers act like a mattress cover and protects the rubber pad. Teflon pillows help evenly distribute pressure when items have irregular surfaces such as buttons, collars or zippers. Teflon should be replaced when it tears, breaks or rips.
6. Test the temperature
Press machine heat is critical to proper application. Occasionally use a machine test kit to check the heated platen. Set the temperature and check the results.
In addition to this, you need to regularly check and maintain your press machine to ensure that it is working properly and to reduce your costs.
3) Choose our best press machines
Why to choose us? Welcome to World Machine! Our original factory was established in 1953 as a professional power press manufacturer, with a long history and excellent strength. In the beginning, we produced small eccentric presses for the new Chinese industry. World Group purchased the plant in 1998 and expanded the production capacity and product range.
Ltd. was authorized by World Group and established in 2009 in Shanghai as an export center for all World brand machines, including power presses, hydraulic shears, hydraulic press brakes and automatic attachments.
World Precision Machinery (China) is the largest branch of the World Group, dedicated to the production and technical research of power presses.
We believe we have enough strength to be your choice. Learn more on this page or contact us directly.
