How to fill nitrogen for QC12Y swing beam shearing machine

QC12Y swing beam shearing machine has two hydraulic cylinders and two nitrogen cylinders. The hydraulic cylinders drive the blade carrier down. The nitrogen cylinders help to drive the blade carrier back to top dead point. The air pressure of the nitrogen cylinder should be 4-8Mpa (different model different standard, please refer to the machine manual)

Sometimes, the blade carrier back stroke is very slow. Evenly the blade carrier cannot return to top dead point. When this happens, operator shall inspect the nitrogen cylinder air pressure and add nitrogen.

This article is to introduce the nitrogen filling steps.

Firstly, prepare nitrogen bottle and the nitrogen filling tool. The filling tool is normally shipped with the shearing machine.

Step 1: open the plug on the nitrogen cylinder

Step 2: connect the filling tool with the nitrogen cylinder and the nitrogen bottle

Step 3: open the valve on filling tool, then open the valve on the nitrogen bottle slowly

Step 4: close the valve on filling tool till the pressure gauge achieve at 8Mpa (refer to different model standard), close the valve on nitrogen bottle

Step 5: screw the pressure release switch on the nitrogen filling tool, till the pressure gauge back to 0

Step 6: move away the filling tool
