The hot forging process is an advanced professional process that has just been developed based on modern precision forging and hot extrusion. With the advancement of society and the development of science and technology, the machinery industry has put forward new mechanical strength requirements for mechanical parts.
To improve the mechanical strength, two methods are generally adopted, one is to change the material of the parts, and the other is to change the processing method. The hot forging process is one of the effective ways to improve the mechanical properties of parts by changing the processing method, so it has strong vitality and good development prospects like the forging process.
The hot forging process is like the precision forging process, which heats the metal blank and places it in the mold to form, but the hot forging is generally formed at one time except for the large part hot forgings, and the precision forging generally involves several times forming.
Compared with the hot extrusion process, the metal blank also needs to be heated. The hot extrusion die is basically the same as the cold extrusion die. The flow of metal material in the cavity is relatively simple. The shape of the formed parts and cold extrusion parts are almost the same, and they tend to form parts with simpler shapes. The structure of the hot forging die is more complicated than that of the hot extrusion die. The structure is characterized by the organic combination of the stamping method and the forming method of the cavity mold. It can not only be extruded on the press compression molding cavity type extrusion die and can perform multi-directional demolding action at one time. Under sufficiently strong pressure, it forces the metal material through the complex flow in the cavity to squeeze the imaging cavity mold (injection mold) Complex parts of that shape.
Therefore, the hot forging process is a deeper and broader development of precision forging and hot extrusion processes.
JH21 c frame crank press for small brass forging. JW31 h frame crank type hot forging press for bearings and middle size hot forging, JS31 eccentric gear type hot forging press for large brass valve hot forging. J23/J21 eccentric press for nuts forging.
The hot forging process has been widely used in the production of daily-use hardware industry, such as various valves, pipe joints, nuts, etc. in the pipeline hardware made of copper hot forging. With its unparalleled quality advantages, it has been widely used. It replaces the products that have been produced by die casting or casting in the past.
1) Forming is basically not restricted by the external shape of the product part itself.
2) The production uses common equipment, which is easy to put into production and is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.
3) High productivity, suitable for mass production.
4) Because of the core pulling device, the inside of the pressed part is hollow. Unlike the part processed by the forging die, the inside is solid. And the thickness of the burr of the small hot forging is about 0.5mm, while the thickness of the burr of the forging mold is generally more than 2mm. So, the material utilization rate is much higher than that of the forging die.
5) Hot forging is a machining process with little and no cutting. The surface roughness is close to that of the die, and the dimensional accuracy can reach 6-7, so its mechanical cutting volume is very small.
6) The mechanical properties of the red stamping parts are good, because after the red stamping, the metal blanks are heated, extruded, and cooled, and their metal structure changes, eliminating the original defects caused by casting or drawing, and making the internal crystal structure of the parts appear the linear shape from the inside to the outside improves the mechanical properties of the red-punched parts.
7) After red punching, the internal crystal grains of the metal have been refined, the density of the metal has been enhanced, and the corrosion resistance of the parts has been improved.
8) Suitable for all kinds of colored or black metal processing.
